Call of the Time (COTT)

Inspired and hosted by Dadi Janki Administrative Head of the Brahma Kumaris, the Call of the Time dialogues convene leaders from all continents in retreat settings that allow for conversation, meditation, and extended periods of silence. Since 1998 approximately 1,000 people have come together in these dialogues.

Objectives:

  • To explore the deepest inner foundations of transformation
  • To engage in a shared exploration of universal truths
  • To Introduce leaders to the benefits of extended periods in silence with a spiritual aim
  • To integrate the personal spiritual growth of participants in their work in the world

Outcomes:

    A sense of unity is created through the shared experience that guests have at these dialogues. This connection has resulted in numerous outcomes such as:

  • A breakfast and closing presentation at the State of the World Forum (2000), and companion publication entitled The Inner and Outer State of the World.
  • A journal on Experiments in Silence funded by the Fetzer Institute and published by the Ruder Finn agency.
  • Extended work in conflict prevention in support of the Swedish Ministry.
  • The creation of numerous intercontinental projects and initiatives.
  • A commissioned piece of research on the Call–of–the–Time process for the Fetzer Institute.
  • Special Raj Yoga meditation intensives offered in India and England.
  • Articles in the SoL (Society for Organizational Learning) journal, Reflections.
  • Publication of a book (in progress) on world service.
